Free Trial Limitations
- Playback may be watermarked when using advanced features. (Tin Man and Tin Man Pro)
- Exports will be limited to one minute in length
- Reports are limited to 5 clips at a time

- Calibrated QuickLook and Calibrated Spotlight do not require a license and install with the macOS Tin Man Installer.
The free trial version is not supported when working with Colourlab Ai products. That workflow is only supported in the licensed versions (Standard, Pro or Server). If you’d like to evaluate Tin Man with Colourlab Ai products, please contact us.
DNxHD/HR/Unc decoding and DNxHD/HR encoding using the Avid SDK is not in the free trial or standard version. That is only supported in Tin Man Pro and Tin Man Server. If you’d like to try these features for a limited time, please contact us. Note: DNxHD/HR 422 can be decoded with using the FFmpeg SDK in the free trial and the standard version.
Versions
The Tin Man installer includes all versions (licensed separately). A detailed comparison can be found here – below is a quick summary
- Tin Man: Play video and camera RAW files, inspect metadata, batch export, and generate CSV/XLS/PDF camera and marker reports.
- Tin Man Pro: Everything in Tin Man plus 2nd-monitor output, monitor colorspace and 3DLUT, DNx decode/encode with Avid SDK, MXF OP-Atom export with AAF sidecar, ability to sync external audio files to video files, and DaVinci Resolve integration
- Tin Man Server: Command-line automation for batch exporting, camera report generation, thumbnail extraction, and verified media copying. Includes a license for Tin Man Pro when used on the same computer.

New Features:
- Audio Sync (Tin Man Pro feature) – Sync up to 16 external audio files to a video clip using timecode or in/out points. Optionally use audio file metadata. Synced audio is preserved when saving and loading file lists.
- Audio Channel Names – Audio channel names are now extracted from iXML and BWF metadata in WAV files. Channel names appear in the Inspect panel, File List, Audio Mapping source column, and PDF/XLSX/CSV reports.
- Sync Audio Column – A new Sync Audio column in the File List shows the filenames of externally synced audio files. Available in reports as well.
- DaVinci Resolve Integration (Tin Man Pro feature) – Send synced video and external audio clips to DaVinci Resolve Studio, with an option to include audio metadata.
- File List Save & Save As – File lists now save to the currently loaded list when closing Tin Man or switching to another list. The Save As option lets you create new named file lists. The File List dock title shows the name of the currently loaded list.
- Thumbnail Scrub Bar – A new thumbnail scrub bar in the player lets you visually scrub through clips for quicker navigation and review.
- Calibrated QuickLook Timecode Overlay – Hovering over the thumbnail scrub bar in Calibrated QuickLook now displays timecode or frame count for easier reference.
- Updated ARRI SDK – Tin Man now includes the latest ARRIRAW SDK, improving compatibility and performance with current ARRI cameras.
Fixed:
- Fixed Calibrated QuickLook white screen issue when switching clips quickly.
- PDF reports now word wrap long metadata fields instead of running off the page.
- Saved layouts now preserve File List column widths, order, and visibility.
- Ctrl+A (Cmd+A on macOS) now selects all items in the File List.
- Multi-select delete for file lists and layouts in their manager windows.
- Miscellaneous bug fixes and stability improvements.
