Sony XDCAM EX MP4 Files and
JVCProHD HM700/HM100 MP4 Files within Final Cut Pro 7 & 6.
Finally you can enjoy the freedom of native MP4 editing in Final Cut Pro without the need for Log and Transfer.
And if you somehow have only the MP4 file without the other corresponding files in the BPAV folder structure - don't worry, 'orphaned' MP4 files are supported too.
And you're not just limited to Final Cut Pro, you can also natively import files into Compressor, Motion, Sound Track Pro, QuickTime Player 7, CatDV, and other supported applications.

XAVC-S .MP4 files
BETA Support has been added for XAVC-S MP4 files. Please note that XAVC-S MP4 files may not play in realtime and not all are supported. Please see XAVC-S Section for more details in the User Guide.
Re-wrap MP4 Files to MOV files
Calibrated{Q} MP4-EX Import also comes with a 'helper' application called
Calibrated{Q} Import Assist. This application enables you to batch create QuickTime Reference or Self-contained .MOV files from XDCAM EX MP4 or XAVC-S MP4 files.
