Native MXF Editing in Final Cut Pro
Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OSX is a QuickTime component for NATIVE Importing and Editing of MXF Files within Final Cut Studio 2 & 3 Applications.
And you're not just limited to Final Cut Pro, you can also natively import files in CatDV, Compressor, Motion, Sound Track Pro, QuickTime Player and Shake.
Finally you can enjoy the freedom of native editing in Final Cut Pro without the need for Log and Transfer.
Calibrated Software's unique solution successfully joins the separate video and audio Panasonics P2 and Ikegami GFCAM MXF files so that Final Cut Pro sees them all as ONE file - complete with TimeCode and Reel Name. PullDown can also be removed or added for select frame rates for Panasonics P2 MXF Files. 1
Please click on the 'Formats' tab above to see the list of other currently supported MXF files. If you have a MXF File that is not currently supported, please email info@calibratedsoftware.com to see if it can be added.
Auto-Save QuickTime Reference Movies
Once you setup auto-referencing with the Calibrated{Q} MXF Options application, everytime you open a MXF file from within QuickTime Player, you also save a QuickTime Reference Movie for that MXF file so that you can work with your MXF files in other 3rd party applications that support QuickTime.
Also works without Final Cut Pro
If you don't have Final Cut Pro - don't worry! You can still view supported MXF Files within QuickTime Player when used in conjunction with Calibrated{Q} Decode Codecs for OSX.

Calibrated MXF QuickStat
Quickly determine the video, audio, and metadata properties of MXF Files with Calibrated MXF QuickStat.
1On OSX, AVC-Intra decoding requires Final Cut Pro 7 or Calibrated{Q} AVC-Intra Decode for OSX. Calibrated{Q} MXF Import does not support 'auto-assembling' spanned MXF Files in Final Cut Pro. When using Calibrated{Q} MXF Import, users must manually assemble spanned MXF Files based on timecode in a Final Cut Pro sequence. Calibrated{Q} MXF Import will only 'auto-join' the separate video/audio or remove PullDown for P2 MXF Files when they are in the proper P2 MXF Folder structure. Only when Ikegami GFCAM MXF files are in the proper Ikegami GFCAM MXF Folder structure is video/audio clip marrying supported
2IMX Audio is supported; although some applications may not 'see' the audio and audio will need to be rendered in Final Cut Pro
