Calibrated{Q} MXF Import for OSX
Native MXF Editing in Final Cut Pro

Native Real Time Editing of P2 (DVCProHD/DV50/DV25), XDCAM DV25 and select OP1a DV-based MXF Files within Final Cut Pro is NOW possible. Finally you can enjoy the freedom of native editing in Final Cut Pro without the need for Logging and Encoding, or creating QuickTime Reference Movies.

Calibrated Software's unique solution successfully joins the separate video and audio P2 MXF files so that Final Cut Pro sees them all as ONE file - complete with TimeCode and Reel Name. PullDown can also be removed or added for select frame rates.

And you're not just limited to Final Cut Pro, you can also natively import files in Compressor, Motion and Sound Track Pro.

Playback MXF Files in QuickTime Player

If you don't have Final Cut Pro Studio 2 - don't worry! You can still view P2 MXF (DVCProHD/DV50/DV25) Files, XDCAM DV25 and select OP1a DV-based MXF Files within QuickTime Player when used in conjunction with Calibrated{Q} DVCProHD Decode for OSX. Within QuickTime Player, you can also create QuickTime Reference Movies so you can work with your MXF Files in other applications.

Future Licensing Options

Currently available as a Demo for the Mac are the AVC-Base Option for working with P2 AVC-Intra MXF Files and the MPEG-Base Option for working with Sony IMX MXF Files. These licensing options will be available for purchase at a later date. Any applicable QuickTime Codecs are still needed to decompress video.
